Rehoming Expectations

People in desperate circumstances often need to rehome a pet, no matter how much they love that little soul, that part of their life. As someone who has taken in many birds for various reasons, I understand that. The saddest part of these surrenders are when one person still loves the animal and is finding it a new home to keep their partner happy.

Flocks Within Flocks Part One

My avian companions are grouped into three distinct flocks. One is the office flock, made up of mostly large parrots who need human contact and attention. The second is the outside flock, hardy birds that are living a good life with sunshine or rain, and breeding as much as possible. The final flock is in the bird room and cabana, birds not exactly good at being in all weather, not freely breeding, and not all that interested in having people around. Of course there are exceptions to this category.
